Replacing an old castor? Measure between the centres of two fixing holes along the long edge, then across the short edge, and compare with the hole centres above. Allow the swivel radius as clear space around each castor so it can turn freely.

Load check

Enter the weight of the item plus its heaviest load. This castor is rated 250kg per castor * each.

How we work it out: on a real floor one castor is often carrying little or nothing, so we share the weight across one fewer castor than you fit (with 3 castors, across all 3). Tick the box to add a 30% margin for rough use.

Floors & use

Polyurethane tread · working temperature -30°C to +80°C

  • Rolls quietly and smoothly
  • Kind to most finished floors
  • Hard-wearing, carries a high load for its size
  • Ideal on concrete, epoxy, vinyl and tiles
  • Not intended for very hot areas
  • Less cushioning than rubber over rough ground

Details & FAQs

Stainless Steel Fixed Castor

This heavy-duty 100mm fixed castor has a 304 stainless steel housing and a blue polyurethane on nylon wheel, carrying up to 250kg per castor. It is made for food production machinery, pharmaceutical systems, stainless steel trolleys and industrial carts.

The polyurethane tread gives shock absorption and quiet running, and the nylon core adds load support. A ball bearing hub keeps rolling smooth and low-friction under heavy loads. The 135 x 110mm top plate has four 10mm holes. It works from -30°C to +80°C.

Why Choose This Castor

  • ✓ 304 stainless steel housing for corrosion resistance
  • ✓ Blue polyurethane tread that is durable, quiet and floor-safe
  • ✓ Ball bearing hub for smooth, low-friction rolling
  • ✓ 250kg load capacity per castor
  • ✓ Wide 40mm tread for stability and wear resistance
  • ✓ 135 x 110mm top plate with four 10mm holes

* Load capacity is per castor. For a set of four, allow for uneven floors by planning on three castors carrying the load.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a fixed castor swivel?

No, a fixed castor only rolls in a straight line. Many trolleys pair two fixed castors with two swivel castors for steering.

What is the wheel made of?

The wheel has a blue polyurethane tread on a nylon core, which gives shock absorption, quiet running and load support.

What type of bearing does it use?

It uses a ball bearing hub, which gives smooth, low-friction rolling under heavy loads.

How much weight can it carry?

Each castor is rated at 250kg. A set of four is best used for loads up to around 750kg, allowing for uneven floors.

How is it fitted?

The 135 x 110mm top plate has four 10mm holes on 105 x 80mm centres. Bolt it flat to the underside of your trolley or equipment.

What temperatures can it be used in?

The castor is suited to temperatures from -30°C to +80°C.
