Nylon castors have a hard wheel with very low rolling resistance, so they are easy to push even when loaded. Nylon resists water, oil and many chemicals and is easy to wipe clean.
The hard tread is noisier than rubber or polyurethane and can mark or damage soft and delicate floors, so nylon is best on smooth concrete and hard floors. Wheels only: nylon wheels.
