How we work it out: on a real floor one castor is often carrying little or nothing, so we share the weight across one fewer castor than you fit (with 3 castors, across all 3). Tick the box to add a 30% margin for rough use.
Floors & use
Polyurethane tread
- Rolls quietly and smoothly
- Kind to most finished floors

- Not intended for very hot areas
- Less cushioning than rubber over rough ground
Details & FAQs
Extra Heavy Duty Castors
Engineered for robust applications, this low-profile heavy duty fixed castor pairs a compact 82mm orange polyurethane tyre on a cast iron centre with a wide 100mm tread and a ball bearing. The polyurethane tyre rolls quietly and protects floors, while the cast iron centre gives the strength for heavy loads. Each castor is rated for 1000kg.
It fixes to your equipment with a 135 x 100mm top plate and stands just 138mm tall. Check that the plate size and hole centres match your existing setup before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much weight can this castor carry?
Each castor is rated for 1000kg. Add up the castors under your equipment to work out the total load.
What is the wheel made of?
An 82mm orange polyurethane tyre bonded to a cast iron centre, with a wide 100mm tread, running on a ball bearing.
How is the castor fitted?
It has a 135 x 100mm top plate with four 12mm holes on 105 x 80mm hole centres, bolted flat to the underside of your trolley, cart or machine.
Does this castor swivel?
No. This is a fixed castor that rolls in a straight line. Pair it with swivel castors on the other end of your trolley for steering. The total castor height is 138mm.
Why is the tread so wide?
The 100mm tread spreads the load over a larger contact area, which lets a small 82mm wheel carry up to 1000kg.
